PRE-BANKRUPTCY CREDIT COUNSELING

(MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE YOUR CASE CAN BE FILED)

Before any bankruptcy case can be filed, the Debtor (you) must complete a pre-bankruptcy credit counseling course that can be done online or by telephone.  The fee is currently  $30.00 ($45 for joint filers) and must be paid directly to the provider.  One of the cheapest counseling agencies  that is approved in our District is :  Cricketdebt.com   You can locate them  on the internet  by clicking on the following link:

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT COURSE 

(MUST BE COMPLETED AFTER YOUR CASE IS FILED) 

After your case has been filed, you will need to complete a Financial Management Course. One of the cheapest counseling agencies  that is approved in our District is : A 247 class.com.    This course can be completed online for $17.50 by going to the following link (after your bankruptcy case has been filed and you receive the Case Number from my office):
